Police Blotter: Man Stabbed During Armed Robbery Attempt

This and other reports from the Greenfield Police Department from June 27 - July 3.

A man was stabbed in the stomach during an armed robbery in the 4700 block of West Cold Spring Road at 9:30 p.m. June 29. 

The man, who was taken to the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, told police two men approached him, demanding money. 

After stabbing the man with an unknown object, the men fled into Good Hope Cemetery, according to the police. 

The following are more incidents reported in the department's police log from June 27 - July 3:

  • Gang symbols were found on a front window at the Dickies Store, 4901 W. Forest Home Avenue. The vandalism was reported at 8:30 a.m. June 27. 
  • A 26-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged retail theft at the , 4200 S. 76th St., at 5 p.m. June 27. 
  • A 34-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly not paying the bar tab at , 3400 W. Loomis Rd., at 7 p.m. June 27. The man was also taken into custody for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. 
  • Two teenagers were taken into custody for allegedly throwing eggs at vehicles in the 5900 block of West Cold Spring Road at 11:45 p.m. June 27. 
  • A 54-year-old man was taken into custody in the 10100 block of West Cold Spring Road for a domestic violence incident that occurred June 27. 
  • A motorcycle rider accidentally jumped on the wrong bike and rode away at the , 6221 W. Layton Ave., at 5 p.m. June 28. Police were informed after the owner of the motorcycle reported it stolen. 
  • A GPS was taken from a vehicle in the 4900 block of South 76th Street. The theft was reported at 5:45 p.m. June 28. The vehicle's window was smashed. 
  • A child's electric scooter was taken in the 3300 block of South Strothmann Drive. The theft was reported at 5:30 p.m. June 29. 
  • A blue Honda Civic was stolen from the , 4601 S. 27th St., at 9:45 p.m. June 29. Milwaukee Police found the vehicle burned a short time later. 
  • A 25-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly stealing an employee's purse at , 4760 S. 76th St., at 10:30 p.m. June 30. 
  • A 29-year-old man was arrested for alleged drunk driving in the 8300 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 1:45 a.m. July 1. 
  • A 36-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving at the corner of South 43th Street and West Barnard Avenue at 2:30 a.m. July 2. 
  • A 37-year-old was arrested for alleged drunk driving in the 6200 block of West Layton Avenue at 1:30 a.m. July 3.
