Police Blotter: Pair Cited For Drug Possession After Woman Found Unconscious

These and other reports from the Greenfield Police Department from April 4 - April 10.

The 46-year-old woman was found unconscious and unresponsive at the , 5105 S. 27th St., at 8:30 a.m. April 7. Rescue personnel transferred her to a local hospital. The woman was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A 47-year-old was taken into custody for allegedly possessing a weapon and marijuana at the hotel during the same incidence. The man allegedly had a knife. He was booked and cited.

The following are more incidents reported in the department's police log from April 4-10:

  • A GPS was stolen from a vehicle in 5900 block of West Layton Avenue during the morning of April 4.
  • The driver of vehicle failed to pay for gas at gas station, 4710 S. 108th St., at 7:30 p.m. April 4. 
  • A 40-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk at the corner of South 35th Street and Layton Avenue at 8 p.m. April 4. The man was booked and released. 
  • A patio set, two grills and two tire rims were stolen from behind a house in the 6000 block of West Armour Avenue. The theft was reported at 9:30 a.m. April 5. Neighbors in the area said they saw two men taking the items and putting them in a truck. 
  • A welder was taken from Pieper Electric, 3997 W. Loomis Rd. The theft was reported at 11 a.m. April 6. 
  • The driver of a vehicle failed to pay for gas at , 3390 W. Loomis Rd., at 4:15 p.m. April 6. 
  • A man who resides in the 10000 block of West Cold Spring Road was warned about filing a false police report and told to register his vehicle at 10 p.m. April 6. The man allegedly called the police to tell them that the sticker on his license plate was stolen. Police ran his license plate and found the registration expired in 2010. 
  • A 21-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged possession of marijuana in the 4600 block of South 76th Street at 9:30 p.m. April 6. He was cited, booked and released. 
  • A 19-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drug possession during a traffic stop at the corner of South 108th Street and West Layton Avenue at 11 p.m. April 6. 
  • A 22-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana when police came to his residence in the 4500 block of South 112 Street at 2:15 p.m. April 7, after the man reported that his PlayStation was stolen. 
  • A briefcase containing a cell phone and keys were stolen from a Honda Civic in the 13000 block of West Howard Avenue. The theft was reported at noon April 8. 
  • A 20-year-old was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving in the 6700 block of West Layton Avenue at 3:15 a.m. April 9. The man was booked, cited and released. 
  • A 46-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly attempting to fill a fake prescription at , 4601 S. 27th St., at 3 p.m. April 9. 
  • A 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were taken into custody for alleged possession of marijuana during a traffic stop at the corner of South 27th Street and West Howard Avenue at 7:30 p.m. April 9. The pair was booked, cited and released. 
  • A 52-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk in the 3300 block of West Loomis Road at 11 p.m. April 9. According to the police report, an eyewitness saw the woman driving her white pickup truck on the sidewalk. The vehicle lost a tire and came to a rest on Loomis Road. She was booked, cited and released.
  • A resident in the 4300 block of South 50th Street was struck by an intruder when he walked into his residence at 12:30 a.m. April 10. The man did not get a description of the intruder. 
  • A 36-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged substantial battery after he supposedly punched another man in the face at during the evening of April 10. The man was taken into custody at his residence at 3:30 a.m.  
  • A 26-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving at the corner of South 34th Street and West Holmes Avenue at 10:30 p.m. April 10. It was the man's third offense.
