Police Blotter: Police Search For Two Gas Thieves

A pair of men may be responsible for several gas drive-offs in Greenfield during the last month, according to the .
During the most recent incident the men, driving a maroon Buick LeSabre bearing an unknown Wisconsin temporary license plate, drove away without paying for $47.77 worth of gas at , 3390 W. Loomis Road, at noon on Sept. 20, according to police.
The vehicle has tinted windows and a missing front/passenger side hubcap and no front plate. The men are described as black with the driver being about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, with short hair and an athletic build. The driver was last seen wearing a baseball cap, blue jeans and a black polo.
The following are more incidents reported in the department's police log from Sept. 19-25.:
- The glass on the front door of , 5612 W. Forest Home Ave., was found smashed at 12:45 a.m. Sept. 19.
- A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk in the 3600 block of West Loomis Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 19. It would be her second such offense.
- A 24-year-old woman was taken into custody for alleged retail theft at , 4601 S. 27th St., at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19.
- A 18-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4000 block of South 108th Street at 12:45 a.m. Sept. 22.
- A 24-year-old man, wearing a beret and a plaid flannel shirt, was taken into custody for allegedly ripping open DVD cases at , 4610 S. 76th St., at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22.
- A 17-year-old employee was taken into custody for alleged retail theft at , 4601 S. 27th St., at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22.
- Two washers and two dryers were found damaged at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of S. 65th Street during the evening of Sept. 22.
- A GPS device, cell phone and laptop were stolen from Klemmers, 10401 W. Oklahoma Ave., on Sept. 17.
- Copper wire and a portion of a kitchen drain pipe were stolen from the basement of an apartment complex in the 4300 block of South 60th Street. The theft was reported Sept. 23.
- A 29-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly striking her husband in the head with an object on Sept. 24.
- A 24-year-old man was taken into custody after allegedly beating another man near 124th Street and Barnard Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 25.
