Police Blotter: Resident Reports 'Stand With Walker' Sign Tampered With

Someone reportedly taped a "Useful Idiots" sign on top of the resident's "Stand with Walker" yard sign.

A resident in the 4200 block of South 61st Street reported to police an unknown person taped a “Useful Idiots” sign on top of his “Stand with Walker” yard sign sometime before 9:30 a.m. May 12.

Another political sign was reported damaged sometime during the night in the 4200 block of South 70th Street, according to the police log.

Those and the following incidents were in the incident log for the week of May 7-13.

  • A 34-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly hindering and possessing drug paraphernalia at the intersection of South 27th Street and West Howard Avenue at 1:15 a.m. May 7.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana after being caught with two other subjects behind Budget Cinema, 4475 S. 108th St., at 10:20 p.m. May 7.
  • A 16-year-old boy, who had been reported missing to the Milwaukee Police Department, was cited for alleged prowling and curfew after an employee at , 5700 W. Layton Ave., called police and reported him trying to break into facility at 2:45 a.m. May 8.
  • Between 8:30-11:20 a.m. May 8, , and one of them twice, after officers received a call about subjects campaigning too close to the building during the recall primary election. It was determined they were legally allowed to be there.
  • A student was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly bringing a BB gun to school and displaying it on the school bus at approximately 9 a.m. May 8.
  • A resident in the 4400 block of West Morgan Avenue told police on May 8 that her 42-inch Toshiba TV was taken from her home May 4.
  • A 61-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after allegedly taking both a knee and ankle brace from Home Care Medical in the 4800 block of South 76th Street at 4:45 p.m. May 8.
  • A 31-year-old woman, who had a warrant for her arrest with the West Allis Police Department, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 4600 block of South 27th Street at 11 p.m. May 8.
  • A 24-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the 7600 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 2 a.m. May 9. If convicted, it will be his third offense.
  • An employee pharmacist at 4688 S. 108th Street reported at 11:30 a.m. May 10 that a man provided a prescription that was not valid from a doctor who is no longer practicing. The prescriptions, however, were believed to be valid, but the doctor who wrote them is currently being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
  • A resident in the 3700 block of West Cold Spring Road reported just after midnight May 12 that her residence had been toilet papered and egged and had powder spread throughout the yard. An officer made contact with juveniles who admitted doing it and cleaned up the mess.
  • A 20-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when he and two other men were found parked at , 4210 S. 35th Street, at 1:15 a.m. May 12.
  • Tires off a plow truck were reported stolen from the strip mall that includes , 4160 S. 108th Street, at 12:20 p.m. May 12.
  • A woman reported her purse was taken May 12 from , 11311 W. Howard Ave., and that her credit card and bank card had been used.
