Police Blotter: Two Teens Have Rough Nights After Allegedly Getting Drunk

These and other reports from the Greenfield Police Department from July 4-10.

Two teenagers were cited for underage drinking during separate incidents last week, according to the . 

A supposedly intoxicated 16-year-old boy was found passed out on the front lawn of a house in the 6900 block of West Van Norman Avenue at 10:15 p.m. July 4.

The boy, who was described as uncooperative, was brought to the police station, where he fell and hit his head. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital. The boy was cited for underage drinking.

An 15-year-old girl was mailed citations for underage drinking, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police found her in the 4800 block of South 108th Street at 10:30 p.m. July 5. 

According to the police report, a witness saw the allegedly intoxicated girl lying on the ground trying to undress herself after causing problems on a Milwaukee Country Transit System bus.

The following are more incidents reported in the department's police log from July 4-10:

  • A 23-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving in the 2700 block of West Layton Avenue at 1 a.m. July 4.
  • A 53-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly beating up his 25-year-old son at 4:30 a.m. July 4. The man, who was supposedly intoxicated, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital. The son posted bond for him later that day. The location of the incident was not published to protect the victim.
  • A 28-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman were taken into custody for allegedly fighting in the 4000 block of West Howard Avenue at 12:45 a.m. July 4. 
  • A bicycle was stolen in the 4900 block of West Cold Spring Road on June 26. The theft was reported on July 5. 
  • A 43-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged drunk driving at the corner of South 40th Street and West Howard Avenue at 12:15 a.m. July 6. The man fell and struck his head during booking, according to the police report. 
  • A 31-year-old and a 17-year-old man were taken into custody for alleged retail theft at , 4200 S. 76th St., at 6:45 p.m. July 6.
  • A 46-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly stealing food trays from , 7840 W. Layton Ave., at 2 p.m. July 7. 
  • A purse and a hammock were reported stolen in the 6200 block of South 41st Street. The thefts were reported at 7:30 p.m. July 7.
  • A 51-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were taken into custody for taking books and CDs out of a Dumpster behind , 5032 S. 74th St., at 11 p.m. July 7. 
  • A 22-year-old man was taken into custody at his Oak Creek residence for allegedly damaging a motorcycle parked at Longshots, 5045 W. Loomis Rd., 2 a.m. July 8. 
  • Musical equipment and a six-pack of beer were stolen from a vehicle in the 6100 block of South 41st Street during the early morning of July 8.
  • A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were taken into custody for allegedly stealing two air conditioners from , 4601 S. 27th St., at 12:30 p.m. July 9. 
  • A 27-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 4200 block of South 60th Street at 1:30 a.m. July 10. The man was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. 
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of , 4200 S. 76th St., at 11:30 a.m. July 10. 
  • A brick was thrown through a kitchen window in the 8900 block of West Forest Home Avenue between 9:30 and 10:45 p.m. July 10.
