Police Botter: Man Allegedly Angered By Slow-Moving ATM Line Apprehended

This and other reports from the Greenfield Police Department from Aug. 15- Aug. 21.

A 60-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly throwing a soda at a vehicle at the ATM, 4333 S. 27th St., at noon Aug. 15.

The driver of the vehicle the soda was thrown at said the man was upset she was not going fast enough through the ATM aisle. 

The following are more incidents reported in the log from Aug. 15-21:

  • A 26-year-old woman was taken into custody for alleged shoplifting at , 4601 S. 27th St., at 1 p.m. Aug. 15. The woman allegedly pushed a security guard and rammed another vehicle in her attempt to flee. 
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of the , 11311 W. Howard Ave. The theft was reported at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 15. 
  • A bicycle was stolen from a basement in the 3600 block of South 34th Street between Aug. 11 and Aug. 15. 
  • An iPod Touch was stolen from a diner at , 4275 S. 27th St., at 12:15 p.m. Aug 16. 
  • A 32-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly fighting at the , 4475 S. 108 St., at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 16. 
  • A 45-year-old woman was taken into custody for allegedly shoplifting from , 6261 S. 27th St., at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17. 
  • A 39-year-old man was taken into custody for an alleged outstanding warrent and alleged possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 12300 block of West Layton Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17. 
  • Rocks were through at vehicles at the corner of South 43rd Street and West Morgan Avenue at 3 a.m. Aug. 18. 
  • A 20-year-old man was taken into custody for alleged possession of marijuana and alleged possession of drug paraphernalia in the 6700 block of West Edgerton Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18. 
  • A 23-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman and three juveniles were taken into custody during a traffic stop for alleged possession of marijuana in the 3500 block of South 48th Street at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 18. 
  • A 48-year-old man was taken into custody after allegedly threatening the bouncer at , 3578 S. 108th St., at 12:45 a.m. Aug 19. The man allegedly told the bouncer that he was going to come back and shoot him after being removed from the establishment. He also had a can of pepper spray on him, according to bouncer.
  • Several items were taken from a garage in the 6200 block of South 41st Street between July 2 and July 13. The owner called police Aug 19.
  • Six solar lights, a globe, a humming bird, three daisy flowers and a dragon fly lawn ornaments were taken from a yard in the 5000 block of West Colonial Court. The theft was reported at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 20.
