Police Investigating Christmas Day Burglary

A resident in the 4800 block of South 39th Street had a tool chest stolen from his home.

A Greenfield resident in the 4800 block of South 39th Street learned bad guys don’t take the holidays off.

According to the Greenfield Police Department report, the man left his house around 1 p.m. Christmas Day only to return a little after 10 p.m. to find police at his home.

A neighbor had called police to report the rear entrance of the home was forced open. When the victim walked through the basement with police officers, he discovered a red Craftsman tool chest and tools with an estimated value of $250 was missing.

Damage to the door was estimated at $200.

No suspects are in custody for the burglary.
