Police Still Looking for Anchor Bank Robbery Suspect

The suspect, who robbed Anchor Bank on June 19, is believed to be responsible for five local bank robberies in the last month.

The Greenfield and Milwaukee police departments continue to search for a man believed to be responsible for five bank robberies in the last month.

The man’s crime spree includes a robbery at , 5101 S. 27th Street, on June 19, during which the suspect allegedly made off with nearly $2,300.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the suspect is a black male between 35 to 50 years old and between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing 140 to 170 pounds.

In the Anchor Bank incident, according to the report, the man walked up to the teller with a handwritten note that read “give me all your money in your second drawer.”

When the teller told him there was nothing in the second drawer, the suspect verbally demanded her “100s and 50s.”

The man then went to a second lane and demanded that the teller there give him all the available money. He then returned to the first teller he took from and made the same demand.

After collecting the money, the man walked out the bank’s front entrance.

Additional robberies the man is believed to be involved in occurred at:

  • North Shore Bank, 4230 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milw. – 9:13 a.m. June 8
  • Associated Bank, 2590 N. Downer Ave., Milw. – 4:10 p.m. June 8
  • Tri City Bank, 3378 S. 27th St., Milw. – 11:55 a.m. May 29 and 9:31 a.m. June 25
