Prostitution Just Part of Sister Act's Story, Police Say

A bizarre tale, with no two versions alike, about a Greenfield man and two sisters accused of prostitution resulted in a slew of citations on Thursday.

According to the Greenfield Police Department report, police responded to the 7300 block of West Southridge Drive at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report that a 40-year-old man believed a woman he met through a chat hotline stole from him.

The man told police a woman he knew as Michele (not her real name), a 32-year-old West Allis woman, came to his apartment a few days earlier after he called her on the hotline. She was at his apartment for about 20 minutes when the conversation turned to sex. He said the woman offered him "anything he wanted for a price."

The man told police he declined the offer and that the woman stormed out of the apartment. He had not seen her again, until Thursday.

That night, the man told police he called the hotline again, and this time spoke to a woman he knew as Angela (not her real name), a 36-year-old from Milwaukee whom he had over to his apartment approximately four times in the past.

The man told police that during the prior visits, the two never engaged in sexual intercourse, but did "fool around." He denied ever exchanging any money or favors for sex acts.

The man told police on this night, Angela was going to spend the night, but a few minutes into her visit, Michele, Angela’s sister, was knocking at the apartment door. The man believed that sometime during her previous visit, Michele had stolen football jerseys from his apartment.

The man said he let her in, locked the door and called police so they could question Michelle about the alleged burglary. He told police Michele picked up an aluminum baseball bat and held it in a threatening manner, so he let the women leave.

The two women fled in a car driven by a 37-year-old Elkhorn man; all three were pulled over a short time later.

When questioned by police, Angela said she had been to the man’s apartment several times prior to Thursday. She denied, however, being involved with the chat hotline and told police she met the man at a bar.

She told police it was likely she and the man would have had sex that evening and that she had performed sex acts on the man in the past. She told police she did not get paid for the sex acts, but that the man gave her money for cigarettes or other items she needed for her newborn daughter. She said the man gave her money every time she went to his apartment.

Angela also told police she did not know why her sister came to the apartment that night. She said once her sister was inside, the man grabbed the bat first and threatened to hit her sister with it before she wrestled it away from him.

Meanwhile, Michele told police she came back to the apartment for gas money. She told police when she arrived, the man immediately began accusing her of stealing things from his apartment, but she denied ever having been inside his apartment.

Michelle was cited for hindering, possession of schedule II narcotic for having an Oxycodone pill, carrying a concealed weapon for having a 3-inch knife in her purse and prostitution. Her sister Angela was cited for prostitution and hindering and obstructing an officer, because she originally provided officers with a false name.

The man who had invited Angela and Michele over was mailed a citation for patronizing prostitution. And the man driving the car was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon and turned over to the West Allis Police Department for an open warrant.
