REPORT: Greenfield Fire Chief to Retire June 1

The Greenfield Fire Department announced the news on Facebook on Thursday.

According to the Greenfield Fire Department's Facebook page, Chief Russ Spahn has announced that he will retire June 1.

Spahn has worked for the city for 39 years, first with the Division of Public Works and then with the fire department.

Spahn is the second city department head to announce his retirement plans this week. On Monday, Police Chief Frank Springob .
