Report: Greenfield Police Officer Under Investigation

The veteran officer is accused of using excessive force with a woman arrested for drunken driving, fleeing and officer and more, according to other media outlets.

Multiple media outlets have reported that a Greenfield police officer is under investigation after being accused of using excessive force during the arrest of a woman in July.

WISN 12 reported Monday the officer got rough with a woman, who was involved in a drunken driving hit-and-run accident that ended with a police chase, during processing.

The officer was suspended with pay after the incident, which was reported to the District Attorney's office.

Police Chief Brad Wentlandt said in a statement the officer was a veteran with no prior disciplinary history.
