A woman was killed and three were injured in a Saturday afternoon car crash at the intersection of 27th Street and Cold Spring Road.

A 51-year-old woman from Vilas County died in the accident. At approximately 5 p.m., she was driving a Toyota Corolla northbound on 27th Street, turned west onto Cold Spring Road and was struck by a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 70-year-old Milwaukee woman, according to the Greenfield Police Department.

The Vilas County woman, who died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday night, was driving with two teenagers, a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, both of whom are in critical condition.

The 70-year-old driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third vehicle was stopped in the northbound left-turn lane and sustained damage from a traffic signal that fell after being hit by the pickup truck.

At this point there is no indication alcohol or speed was a factor, and police have not yet identified those involved.
