Woman Calls 911 to Report Traffic Jam

A woman driving on the freeway ramp at 27th Street called the emergency number because she grew tired of sitting in traffic July 8.

A woman driving on the freeway ramp at 27th Street got a lesson in the proper use of 911 on July 8.

According to the Greenfield Police Department incident log, the woman called police because she was stuck for at 20 minutes on the ramp because of heavy traffic on 27th Street.

When told she would be cited for improper use of 911, she said she called the emergency number because she wasn’t sure if there was an incident that required police assistance.

She then, however, said she called because the traffic on 27th Street was not allowing traffic from the ramp to exit the freeway.
