Special Donation to Police Stemmed From 9/11 Discussion

Max Siepert, a Greenfield Middle School student, is being recognized locally and nationally for his heartwarming donation last week.

A good deed stemming from a discussion about 9/11 in social studies class has put Max Siepert in the spotlight.

Siepert, an 11-year-old from Milwaukee, donated $10.03 in change to the Greenfield Police Department on Friday, but left without identifying himself and before the clerk could get any more information.

But Greenfield police followed a few leads and tracked Siepert’s family down. The Greenfield Middle School student explained his good deed in front of several television crews Monday afternoon, and his story was featured on the TODAY show Tuesday morning.FOX 6 News has the entire interview with Max Siepert.
