Stabbing Suspect in Custody After Standoff

Larry Vanderberg was wanted for reportedly stabbing a man about a month ago.

The Greenfield Police Department's attempt to serve a warrant to a stabbing suspect set off a standoff at a Milwaukee home Thursday.

According to WISN.com, Greenfield police officers were attempting to serve a warrant to Larry Vanderberg, .

According to the story, Vanderberg barricaded himself inside the home at 68th Street and Harrison Avenue. The Milwaukee Police Department was then called in because the home is in its jurisdiction, and used tear gas to force the man from the home.

The story also indicates a dog was shot by police but no one else was home at the time of the incident.

Vanderberg is now in the custody of Greenfield police. On June 7, he allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man in the face in the 4600 block of West Crawford Avenue. The victim told police Vanderberg came to the residence to collect a debt.
