Subway Restaurant Burglarized, Police Say

A Subway restaurant in Greenfield has been hit by thieves for the second time in less than a month, according to Greenfield police.

An employee at Subway, 4166 S. 108th St., told police when she arrived at the restaurant at 6:40 a.m. Sept 9, she found the front door unsecured and money stolen, and it appeared someone attempted to get into the safe.

The safe was tampered with, according to police, but not opened. The incident occurred between 9 p.m. Sept. 8 and the time of the call.

An armed robbery occurred at the restaurant Aug. 21.
