UPDATE: Charges Filed in AT&T Armed Robbery

One Milwaukee man allegedly told patrons he was not afraid to shoot them while another stole phones and tablets from the display kiosks.

Two Milwaukee men face up to 40 years imprisonment for their alleged roles in a .

Kenneth Ross, 17, and Robert Sanders, 21, were charged with felony armed robbery with the use of force and misdemeanor retail theft in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Friday, March 17.

According to the criminal complaint:

Surveillance video shows Ross entering the store, 5075 S. 76th Street, and immediately punching a store employee in the face. He then told the store’s patrons to “be quiet and keep your hands up” and said, “I am not afraid to shoot you.”

The video shows Ross reaching into the waistband of his pants and displaying something he wanted people to believe was a gun or a weapon.

Sanders then entered the store and took a large number of phones and tablets from the store's display kiosks before both fled.

One witness told police she saw Ross show what she believed was the butt of a gun while he was threatening to shoot people.

Ross and Sanders were identified when submitted their photographs to the state’s Probation and Parole department.

Upon questioning, Sanders admitted to taking the phones and selling them on the street. Ross admitted to threatening to shoot someone inside the store, but he did not have a gun.

Also according to the criminal complaint, it was not the first time the suspects had stolen phones from the store. The pair stole two Samsung Galaxy Note brand phones from the display wall Feb. 22.
