Mom Allegedly Brings 11-Year-Old Daughter on Shoplifting Run

The 35-year-old Milwaukee mother and four others, including an 11-year-old, were cited for retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal nearly $300 in merchandise from Kmart.

A 35-year-old Milwaukee mother and her two daughters, including an 11-year-old, were cited for retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal nearly $300 worth of children’s clothing, fingernail polish and other items from , 4601 S. 27th St., July 13.

Two more 18-year-old woman, who share the same last name and home address as their accomplices, were also cited for retail theft. The 11-year-old also picked up an obstructing an officer citation.

According to the report, a Kmart employee called Greenfield police after score security personnel were concealing the items in two purses carried by two of the suspects.

Police confronted the suspects in the store and found the clothing and fingernail polish, as well as lipsticks and two sets of fake eyelashes, stashed in the purses. In all, the five suspects allegedly tried to shoplift $280.56 in merchandise.

Three of the woman, including the oldest, admitted to concealing items in the purses, and store security told police that it appeared the 35-year-old was ordering her 11-year-old daughter to take items and put them in her purse as well, according to the report.

All five suspects received municipal citations.
