On Nov. 24, a woman living in the 1500 block of West Vogel Avenue contacted the Greenfield Police Department after she discovered someone had been cashing checks from her bank account without her authorization. When she contacted the bank, the victim found the checks were endorsed by Spielvogel’s sister, who she knows because Spielvogel dates her son.

Officers then interviewed Spielvogel’s sister and she said she got the checks from Spielvogel, who said the checks were given to her by the victim in exchange for Spielvogel buying groceries for her using her Quest Card.

Spielvogel admitted stealing the checks, but said she gave them to her sister as collateral for drugs and she wasn’t supposed to cash them. The sister denied Spielvogel’s story, saying she wasn’t involved in drugs.

Spielvogel is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on a $500 signature bond and is ordered turned over to the JUSTICE 2000 program for supervision.
