Bailey, Sierzchulski Earn Greenfield School Board Seats

Fire Chief Russ Spahn and incumbent and longtime elected official Donald Almquist finished third, fourth.

Current Greenfield School Board president Bruce Bailey was elected to another term by winning a four-person race with 3,141 votes Tuesday.

Also earning a spot on the board is former board president Pam Sierzchulski, who was runner-up with 2,743 votes.

Bailey had 200 or more votes in seven different wards and was the top vote-getter in 13 of 17 wards. He received 29.5 percent of the 10,650 votes.

Sierzchulski, who won the primary in February by 171 votes over Bailey, was the top vote-getter in four wards and received 25.8 percent of the vote.

Finishing third was the city's Fire Chief Russ Spahn with 2,465 (23.1 percent). Incumbent and longtime elected official Donald Almquist was fourth with 2,301 (21.6 percent).
