Milwaukee County Medicine Collection Day

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration are co-sponsoring Medicine Collection Day at Miller Park, in the Miller Lot, near the "Sausage Haus."  MILWAUKEE COUNTY RESIDENTS are encouraged to bring unused prescription medication, over-the-counter medication, ointments, sprays, inhalers, vials and pet medications.  The motivation for this collection is, in part, to reduce teen use of prescription drugs and prevent childhood poisonings, as well as protect the waters of Lake Michigan from contamination by chemicals.  Please visit the MMSD website at www.mmsd.com to learn what items will be accepted and what items will not be accepted.  Please: NEVER flush or pour unused medicine down the drain or toilet.  Thank you!
