Police and Fire Commission Meeting

AGENDA FOR THE GREENFIELD POLICE & FIRE COMMISSION MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER, COURT ROOM – 5300 WEST LAYTON AVENUE, GREENFIELD, ON MONDAY,  MAY 14, 2012 AT 6 p.m.

1.  Call to order.

2.  Roll call.

3.  Discussion/Decision to approve the Police & Fire Commission meeting minutes for the meetings held on March 12, 2012 and April 9, 2012.

4.  Greenfield Police Department reports (Chief Wentlandt).

5.  Greenfield Fire Department reports (Chief Cohn).

6.  Discussion/Decision regarding pre-employment psychological evaluations (Chief Wentlandt).

7.  Commission to go into closed session pursuant to Statute 19.85 (1) (c) of the Wisconsin State Statutes. Specifically: (c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

A. Chief Wentlandt will provide details regarding the recent resignation of a Police Officer.

8.  Commission to adjourn closed session and reconvene into open session.

9.  Notification from Chief Wentlandt regarding the resignation of a Police Officer (Chief Wentlandt).

10.  Discussion/Decision regarding the appointment of an entry level Police Officer (Chief Wentlandt).

11.  Commission reports.

12.  Discussion/Decision related to Police & Fire Commission’s Rules and Regulations (Commissioner Selin). Approval of updated Rules and Regulations reflecting changes authorized at the April 9 meeting.

13.  Discussion/Decision to approve payment of invoices as listed:

A.    Invoice number 308653 from Humber, Mundie & McClary, LLP in the amount of $450.00 for a psychological examination of a Police Officer candidate.

B.    Invoice number 03240412 from the Milwaukee Courier in the amount of $183.50 for classified advertising for entry level Police Officers.

C.   Invoice number 34442 from the Spanish Journal in the amount of $163.80 for classified advertising for entry level Police Officers.

D.   Invoice number 4143295208Gree-12 from the Journal Sentinel in the amount of $1509.84 for classified advertising for entry level Police Officers.

14.  New items for placement on the next agenda.

15.  The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Police and Fire Commission shall be held at 6 p.m. in the court room of the Law Enforcement Center at 5300 West Layton Avenue on Monday, June 11, 2012.
