Greenfield's Incumbent Alderpersons Intend to Run Again
Candidates have until Jan. 3 to get into the race.
Updating , Greenfield Patch has learned all three of incumbent alderpersons will run for re-election in the Spring 2012 election.
Fourth District Alderwoman Pam Akers told Greenfield Patch in an email Sunday she does plan to run again.
Last week, Shirley Saryan (fifth district) and Karl Kastner (third), the other two incumbents whose terms will expire, told Patch they intended to seek re-election.

Candidates could begin circulating nomination papers, Dec. 1, and must obtain 20-40 signatures to run.
The annual alderperson salary is $6,300. Terms are for three years.

All candidates have until 5 p.m. Jan. 3, to file their election paperwork.
