Health Director Named Director of Emergency Government

Darren Rausch was confirmed by the Common Council at Tuesday's meeting.

In the event of a natural disaster or weather-related event such as a tornado, the City of Greenfield will turn to Health Director Darren Rausch for direction.

Rausch was appointed by Mayor Michael Neitzke, and confirmed by the Common Council at Tuesday's meeting, as the city's Director of Emergency Government, replacing .

In addition to managing the city's response and recovery in the event of major emergencies, Rausch is responsible for the overall preparation and coordination of the city's emergency response and coordinates with Milwaukee County Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency as necessary to coordinate disaster reimbursement and training opportunities, according to Neitzke.

Police Chief Frank Springob, , had replaced Spahn on an interim basis. He is the Deputy Director of Emergency Government until his retirement date of June 30.
