If You Hate Telemarket Calls, Don't Forget the No-Call List Deadline

Wednesday, August 31 is the next deadline for adding phone numbers to the No Call List.

It never fails. You're sitting down to dinner and the phone rings, another call from a company trying to sell you something you really don't need.

To stop, or keep, telemarketers from calling, Wisconsin residents have until tomorrow, Aug. 31, to put their number on the state's No Call list.

Numbers entered will be added for the new list start date of Oct. 1, and the list is good for two years.

Telemarketers who violate the no call list can face $100 fine for each call, according to a story on FOX 6 News.
