This Week's Meeting Schedule: Greenfield School Board Leads the List

Take a look at this week's city and school district calendar.

The Greenfield School Board meets Monday evening for the first time since the state's Legislative Fiscal Bureau released a memo detailing the anticipated drop in state aid each school district statewide will receive in 2011-12.

It's one of few city or school government meetings from March 21-25:

Monday: Greenfield School District Business Administrative meeting, 6:15 p.m., Greenfield Administrative Building; Greenfield School Board meeting, 6 :30 p.m., Greenfield Administrative Building.

Mayor Michael Neitzke recently asked that a discussion/decision regarding an increased cooperative effort between school districts and the Parks Department to secure and enhance programming be added to the Parks & Rec Board agenda.

Neitzke also suggested an ad hoc committee be formed to report on revenues, expenses, facilities, responsibilities and programming to "ensure that the needs of the community as a whole are met in the most cost effective fashion."

Monday's Legislative Committee meeting and Thursday's Zoning Board of Appeals meeting have been canceled.
