At Tuesday’s Planning Commission meeting in the Common Council Chambers of , the commission will revisit the request of , a pawn shop, to move into the Ultimate Electronics building, the commission will take an initial look at 64-unit low income elderly facility interested in a 2.7-acre parcel at 8711 Forest Home Ave.
Before then, there are three meetings slated for Monday.
The Whitnall School Board will set a timeline for laying out the 2011-12 preliminary budget at Monday’s meeting at 6:30 p.m. in .
The administration hopes to complete its preliminary budget for board review by the end of the month.
The board will also vote to approve Douglas Johnson as the interim business manager, provide a facilities project update and discuss its Back to School Block Party, which is slated for Sept. 17.
In Monday’s Police and Fire Commission meeting at 6 p.m. in the , the commission, in closed session, will discuss the fire department’s upcoming personnel moves resulting in former and Battalion Chief .
Also in closed session, Human Resources Director Ben Granberg will discuss requirements, options and methods the commission can use to fill the vacancies resulting in Spahn and Police Chief Frank Springob, whose final day is June 30.
Also Monday, the Library Board will meet at 6:30 pm. in the conference room.
After Mary LeMense is honored for 25 years of service to the library, the board will get down to business, including looking at some policy changes regarding the prohibiting of eating food in the library.
The library is also considering two large laminate tables and two window shades for a new second-floor large conference room that is to replace the former “Teen Zone.”
