VIDEO: Tea Party Express Stops in 8th Senate District

Rally at Thiensville park is one of nine around the state as Tuesday's recall elections near.

About 275 people showed up for a on Saturday night led by the Tea Party Express, a national organization that's on a bus tour of Wisconsin to support the Republican state senators who will be on the ballot in Tuesday's recall elections.

How strange. I thought our Republican Senators up for recall were complaining about 'outside interests' and here they are. THEIR outside interests. Scott Walker has now rejected state healthcare. Costing 9 million dollars in lost revenue. http://thinkprogress.org/health/2011/08/05/289193/wisconsin-rejects-grants-from-health-law-despite-cutting-health-services-in-state-budget/

Rory, I had the chance to meet you at the rally yesterday. You seemed polite and professional and I noticed you spent a great deal of time interacting with the crowd assembled. I am pleased that the final feature you decided to post was overall neutral and didn't attempt to make the Darling/Walker supporters look like "toothless tea baggers," to use the term another reader of yours has affectionately called us. (BTW, I am an 19 year veteran educator with a Masters degree and happen to have all my teeth, thank you very much). What disappoints me is the fact that you chose to not include any of the interviews that you did with the supporters present. You were at the rally over an hour before it started and I know that you filmed dozens of people giving their opinions and comments, so why didn't you feature any of those in your story? I hope you will consider this feedback when you tackle other topics of controversy in the future. More credibility will be given to a news source when all sides of an issue are presented. Thank you and good luck in the future.

CB-- I wanted to include those interviews, but I actually lost most of my footage because my memory card got corrupted. Thanks for talking with me, and thanks for the feedback.
