Whitnall Voting Location Changing Slightly for November Election

With high turnout expected, those in Wards 9-12 won't be casting their ballots in the district's community room as they usually do.

Greenfield voters who normally vote in the Whitnall School District’s community room will have a new polling place for the November election.

Don’t worry, if you’re among those in Wards 9-12, you won’t have to travel more than a few hundred feet north to get to your new ballot-casting spot.

Come November, voters in those wards will vote in the Whitnall High School large gymnasium to accommodate a higher-than-normal turnout. Turnout across the state is expected to top 3 million, and the Whitnall community room was deemed not large enough to accommodate the additional bodies that are expected to walk through the doors.

Voter registration will be conducted in the boys team room adjacent to the gym.

Come the next election, scheduled for April 2013, Whitnall voters will return to the community room.
