Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center assists 19 animals in need.

Earlier this month the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center transferred 19 cats and kittens from the Humane Society of Vilas County.

The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center works collaboratively with humane societies and animal control agencies in Wisconsin to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of animals and alleviate overcrowding by transferring animals into the Center's adoption program for care and placement.

The Center recently sent a transport team to Vilas County in Northern Wisconsin to assist the local humane society that was at capacity.  Intending to bring back 7-10 cats, the transport team ended up choosing 19!

Jennifer Primich, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Vilas County said, "What you did for us is allowing us to keep space for the next group of cats rapidly coming in our doors in need without added stress to our small facility and allows us to keep helping out homeless critters in our area because we will now have the spaces available to do so".
