Election 2011: Quinten Brunette, Whitnall School Board

The three-year Greenfield resident says his frugal nature would be an asset.

Quinten Brunette, 12255 West Black Oak Dr., a three-year resident of Greenfield with two children in the district, is running for the Whitnall School Board with the district’s finances in mind.

He expressed concern about how the district would pay for its upcoming water retention and facilities upgrade project.

“I’m for the project,” Brunette said, “but we need to be judicious with our finances.”

He said the biggest issue facing the board is the state’s budget repair bill.

“No one knows what’s going to happen yet,” Brunette said, adding that the board will need to be prepared to deal with whatever the outcome may be.

He added his frugal nature would be helpful in addressing “what the new governor and assembly are going to hand down to us.”

Brunette described himself as a street-smart guy who would provide the board with a different way of looking at things.
