Elm Dale School Principal Leaving District

In a note to parents, Toetz said she has "take another position closer to my family." Toetz, a Delafield resident, will be the principal at Cushing Elementary in Wales according to local news source.

Rebecca Toetz, who has been the principal at for a year, informed parents this week that she is leaving the school district.  

In a note to parents dated May 30, Toetz said she has "taken another position closer to my family." 

According to Living Lake Country, Toetz will be the principal at Cushing Elementary in Wales. The site indicated Toetz is a Delafield resident.

An email to district officials and a phone message to Toetz were not returned.  

"I'm excited to be the administrator in the community that I live," Toetz told Living Lake Country. "My whole career, I've been a teacher in the community I lived, and I really miss that."

The story said Toetz will take her post July 1. 

"I have been lucky to meet and work with so many dedicated teachers here at Elm Dale," Toetz wrote in her letter. "Elm Dale families are extremely supportive of education and that is appreciated and noticed."

Toetz earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from UW-Madison, and obtained a master's degree in special education from UW-La Crosse. She is certified as a special education teacher and educational administration.
