Mardi Gras Favorites: Cooking Class

Mardi Gras translates into “Fat Tuesday” and it is observed in most Christian countries on the Tuesday prior to Ash Wednesday.  Part of the observation is the food that is eaten in celebration; plan your own event by learning to create some traditional favorites: Beignets, Roast Beef Po’Boys with Debris Gravy, Cajun Chicken & Sausage Gumbo and King Cake.  You will also receive a recipe for a Hurricane! Instructor is Staci Joers, from Cooking with Class. This is just one of many continuing education classes at Alverno College; see the full list at http://telesis.alverno.edu.
