Women Who Made History: 125th Anniversary Celebration

When Alverno College opened its doors in 1887, a world of opportunity was beginning to open up for women across the nation. We'll make women's history come alive by telling the amazing stories of remarkable women who were making their mark on America during Alverno’s formative years; from Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony and Jane Addams to Amelia Earhart, Edna Ferber, Georgia O'Keeffe, Martha Graham, "Babe" Didrikson Zharias, Mary McLeod Bethune and Eleanor Roosevelt. By journeying to the past, we'll also better understand what it means to be an American woman today.
