'Forward Thinking' Aims at Bringing Schools, Communities Together

The collaborative community engagement effort known as "Forward Thinking" officially kicked off its efforts Thursday.

Members of the group, including Greenfield Mayor Michael Neitzke, Greenfield School District Superintendent Lisa Elliott and Whitnall School District Superintendent Lowell Holtz, addressed a large crowd before the Boerner Botanical Garden's "Concert in the Park" series.

They, along with Forward Thinking organizer LuAnn Bird, a Whitnall School Board member, encouraged community members to get involved in the initiative aimed at pulling communities and schools together.

The group is centered around the City of Greenfield and the Villages of Greendale and Hales Corners, and the Greenfield, Greendale and Whitnall school districts.
