Greenfield Cross Country Team off to Solid Start

Three freshmen girls, posted solid times at the West Allis Central Bulldog Invite on Aug. 31, leading the team to eighth place of 14 teams.

The future is looking bright for the Greenfield cross country program.

Three freshmen girls, posted solid times at the West Allis Central Bulldog Invite on Aug. 31, leading the team to eighth place of 14 teams.

Keely Hanely led the way with a new school 4K record of 15 minutes, 33 seconds. Megan Baillargeon-Theune and Tia Ruhland finished at 17:34. All three times earned the ninth-graders a spot on the school's cross country leader board.

The Greenfield boys finished seventh at the meet held at McCarty Park and, along with the girls, will run at Grant Park for the South Milwaukee Invite on Sept. 8.

The  Greenfield Hawks XC team ran in the West Allis Central “Bulldog Invite” last Friday.  The meet was held at McCarty Park.  The Greenfield boys finished 7th and the girls 8th out of 14 teams.

Highlight for team was three freshman girls running varsity and finishing times that placed them on out Hawks XC Record Board.    Next meet is this Saturday, Grant Park for the South Milwaukee Invite.  Coach Ernie Rosenthal (414-281-6200 ext 2409)
