Greenfield High School's Spring Play Continues This Weekend

The drama department's performance of The Importance of Being Earnest continues Friday and Saturday.

Twenty-two students in the Greenfield High School drama department will be hard at work Friday and Saturday night as they deliver performances of Oscar Wilde's .

The British comedy was originally performed in 1895 and is a satire of social etiquette in 19th century England.

Algernon, played by Connor Zimmerman, and Jack, played by Eli Haas, are friends who both rely on the alternate identity of “Earnest Worthing.”  When the women to whom they are engaged, played by Kat Voelker and Sandra Polakowski, meet and discuss the men, they mistakenly believe that they are engaged to the same man.
