Greenfield School Board Members Given Oath of Office

Thirteen days after claiming the , Bruce Bailey and Pam Sierzchulski were administered the oath of office by School Board clerk Julie Rome at Monday’s board meeting.

, the board president, thanked those who helped him during his campaign and asked that the School Board work together to keep the district moving forward.

“I want our students to have the best education that Greenfield can provide,” he said. “Everyone in this room wants that, but there’s been some reductions in state aid we’ve all read about. We’re in a budget crisis at this time. We’re facing some very difficult times, some difficult choices ahead.

“I just want to ask the board and the citizens to support us and hopefully we can all work together to meet these challenges we’re facing. There’s going to be some unchartered waters; hopefully we can face these challenges together.”

“It’s my honor and privilege to be reelected to the board,” she said. “I will work hard with this board and continue to fight with all of them for excellence, a high standard in the Greenfield School District.

“The challenges this board face will be difficult and have far-reaching effects. I will do my best to do what is best for the students, the staff and the citizens of Greenfield as we work together to face these difficult challenges ahead.”
