Griddlers Cafe to Celebrate Grand Opening Next Week

Greenfield High School music program will benefit from restaurant's "Music Mondays."

The last month was quick, and the owners hope to make it up to their customers and the community starting Monday.

Every Monday starting Oct. 10, Griddlers Cafe will donate a percentage of its sales made from 2-10 p.m., to a designated local music program, including Greenfield High School's program, which will benefit from the promotion each of the remaining Mondays through Oct. 31.

"Part of our mission at Griddlers Cafe is to give back to the community," co-owner Don Hensiak said in a statement. "Our 'Music Mondays' program supports local school music programs that have been hit hard over the years by budget cuts."

The Griddlers Cafe at 7510 W. Layton Ave. will donate its "Music Mondays" proceeds to Fairview Charter School; the other Greenfield location at 4160 W. Loomis Rd., will donate proceeds to .

Also as part of the restaurants' grand opening, on Wednesday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 16, Griddlers Cafe will offer hamburgers, French fries and pancakes for $0.99 each Wednesday Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 16, and for every coffee and Pepsi product purchased, $0.25 will also be donated to local music programs.

In addition, Griddlers Cafe will have Loyalty Card giveaways in monetary denominations up to $50, and will be giving away one iPod Touch at each location.
