Important Dates for Whitnall Kindergarten 2012-13 Planning Announced

An informational meeting, tours and registration will all happen in January.

The Whitnall School District has announced several important dates for parents with children entering K4 and K5 during the 2012-13 school year.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 6-6:30 p.m., there will be an informational meeting for parents of prospective K4 students in the , 5000 S. 116th St. Parents will be given a program overview and have the opportunity to ask questions and register for the upcoming school year.

The meeting will be followed by a similar meeting for new K5 parents from 6:30-7 p.m.

Parents who plan to register their child must bring proof of residency and their child's birth certificate.

On Friday, Jan. 20, the district will offer guided tours of the K4 and K5 classrooms while class is in session. Tours are given by appointment, and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions.

To request a tour at Hales Corners Elementary, call (414) 525-8810, or call (414) 525-8910 for a tour at Edgerton Elementary.

And from 6-7 p.m. Jan. 24, there will be K4 and new K5 registration in the Whitnall School District Community Room.

Parents are asked to bring their child's birth certificate and proof of residency such as a utility or tax bill or a copy of a lease.
