Incumbent Stephanie Richter Among Whitnall School Board Candidates

She will retain her seat after short-term fill-in Richard Kollauf bowed out and only one other candidate emerged.

One of two Whitnall School Board incumbents whose seats are available in the April 2013 election will seek another term.

Stephanie Richter, who joined the board in 2010, will retain her seat for three more years after she was one of just two candidates to emerge Wednesday.

But Rick Kollauf, who in November was chosen to replace Suzette Larson, opted not to run for re-election. Kollauf had been a board member for 12 years before choosing not to run again in 2010.

The deadline to declare candidacy was 5 p.m. Jan. 2. The only other candidate is Hales Corners' LuAnn Bird, who was one of four people who interviewed for the vacancy created by Larson’s resignation.

Bird formerly served on the School Board in a school district in Oshkosh.
