Joecks is Whitnall High School's new business teacher.

Students should be prepared to leave the monkey business at home.

Jeremy Joecks is Whitnall High School's new business and marketing teacher, and he provided these answers for Patch's Meet the Teacher Q&A:

Patch: What school will you teach at, and what is your subject area?

JJ: Whitnall High School teaching business and marketing subjects. I will also advise the student DECA (association of marketing students) club.

Patch: What is your hometown, and where do you live now?

JJ: Hometown is Menomonee Falls and I live now in Sussex

Patch: What college did you attend, and what is your prior work experience?

JJ: Undergraduate degree in business management - entrepreneurship from UW-Eau Claire; Masters degree in business and marketing education from UW-Whitewater. I have work experience in retail management, sales, and business ownership.

Patch: Do you have any connections to Whitnall? Is there a particular reason you wanted to teach in the Whitnall district?

JJ: No direct connections to Whitnall. I know it is a well-respected district with a sound plan for the future. Also, I like the size of the district and the high school.

Patch: Do you have any hobbies you would like to share?

JJ: Spending time with family (wife Megan, two year old Keira, and 5-month-old Lillianna). Going up north to the lake. Playing tennis and golf.

Patch: Tell us about your favorite summer vacation, either as a child or a grown-up.

JJ: This past summer taking 10 days for a family road trip out west. Saw several national and state parks and monuments and visited my brother and family in Bozeman, MT.
