Patch: What college did you attend, and what is your prior work experience?

MH: I received my Bachelors from University of Colorado at Boulder and my Masters from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. This coming school year will be my sixth year teaching, and before coming to Whitnall I taught in Tempe, Ariz. and Whitefish Bay.

Patch: Is there a particular reason you wanted to teach in the Whitnall district?

MH: What brought me to Whitnall is the district's and community's support and passion for high quality music education. All students, staff, parents, and community members I have met since my arrival last January have been very welcoming and supportive. It is a wonderful community that I am happy to be a part of.

Patch: Do you have any hobbies you would like to share?

MH: Outside of music and teaching, I enjoy being outdoors and like to take advantage of the great hiking, running, and biking trails that Wisconsin has to offer.
