Whitnall Breaks Ground on New Football Field After Season-Ending Loss

The Falcons had their playoff hopes dashed with a 44-8 loss to Pewaukee on Friday. After the game, however, an enthusiastic group got out their shovels.

The Whitnall Falcons slim playoff hopes were dashed by visiting Pewaukee, as the Pirates ended the local team's season with a 44-8 drubbing on Friday. 

The loss was Whitnall's fifth in a row and left the Falcons with a final 3-6 overall record and 3-5 mark in the Woodland Conference. This is the first time in four years the Falcons failed to make the WIAA postseason.

Following the game, various area dignitaries including architects, and school board and project committee members, each grabbed a shovel and dug in for a ground-breaking ceremony to commemorate the building of a new football stadium, a large part of the district's .
