Video: Greenfield Football Team Riding Momentum of 2011

Last fall, the Hustlin' Hawks made the WIAA postseason for the first time since 2002. Now, coach Scott Otto and his players want to win the school's first league title in more than three decades.

The snapped one of the longest playoff droughts in the Patch area last fall when they went 5-5 and .

That playoff appearance has energized the program, according to third-year coach Scott Otto, who said one of the program’s main goals now is to win a conference title for the first time in more than 30 years.

If the Hawks accomplish that goal, they’ll be doing it while grouped with Whitnall, Cudahy, St. Francis, Brown Deer and South Milwaukee in one division of the Woodland Conference, a league that added Milwaukee Pius and said good-bye to St. Thomas More during the offseason.
