Whitnall Football Season Reflection

As the season comes to an end, the Whitnall high school varsity football players are reflecting upon their hardwork.

For the first time in 12 years, the Whitnall Falcons are looking like they will win confrence, and be on their way to a playoff berth. The team has definitely put in its share of hard work thoughout the offseason and during the season, whether it be a 5 a.m. workouts or two-a-day practices in the heat of summer, the Falcons have not stopped.

"This year has been a lot more challenging and different from last year, but it's all worth it because i can definately feel the teams and my own hard work paying off," varsity fullback Michael Kremer said.

The team has played seven games this year and came out victorious in five of them. With the team's last regular season game this Friday against New Berlin West, the Falcons will start the playoffs, and must keep winning or they will face the excruciating loss that knocks them out of the playoffs.

The Falcons have really come together on and off the field as well this year. Jake Wolf, a varsity lineman said, "This year has been a lot different from last year in many aspects, but the main one is that we feel like more than just a team, we feel like brothers."

The Falcons have shown this bond throughout the pre-season and regular season by having team dinners every week, creating a program where players can work out before school called the "Breakfast Club", and overall doing as many activities as a team as they possibly could.

If hard work pays off, then the Falcons should make quite the playoff run this year, and have many fans that are hoping to see them do so.
