Falcons Shut Out Mariners for First Win of Season

The Whitnall Falcons got a giant monkey off their back when they finally picked up their first win of the season Friday, a 41-0 drubbing of the St. Francis Mariners.

The Falcons rushed for a season-high 367 yards, led by Nick Monty’s 136, and scored five of their six touchdowns on the ground.

Among those scores was Max Anderer’s 54-yard gallop to paydirt midway through the first quarter.

The Falcons’ defense held St. Francis to just 66 total yards.

Whitnall improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the Woodland Conference.
