Is Youth Football Safe? Join the Debate

Local experts will discuss youth football at the Greenfield Public Library on Sept. 16.

The Greenfield Library is hosting a listening debate that will tackle the topic of youth football and the safety of its players at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16.

A panel of well-informed local guests with expertise in youth football, the medical field, and sports equipment will discuss the physical, medical, and legal challenges facing youth football.

Panelists will also address the rise in popularity of football, how increased attention to medical trends has affected the game locally, and how equipment companies are trying to make the game safer for our youth.

Panelists will answer audience questions at the end of the discussion.

The program takes place in the Greenfield Library Community Room at the library, 5310 W. Layton Ave.
