Little League Opening Day is Saturday

Kulwicki Park will come alive with the Klement's Racing Sausages, Greenfield police and fire department demonstrations and, oh yeah, lots of Little League baseball!

Spring has arrived and Greenfield Little League baseball is right around the corner.

Now, let's just hope there's better weather this weekend!

The Little League's Opening Day Ceremonies are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Kulwicki Park, 10777 W. Cold Spring Rd.

Games are scheduled throughout the day, but during the opening day festivities, the Greenfield High School R.O.T.C. Color Guard will present the flag, the Maple Grove Elementary School chorus will sing the National Anthem, Mayor Michael Neitzke will read an Opening Day proclamation, and a special guest, along with the Klement's Racing Sausages, will throw out the first pitch.

Members of the Greenfield fire and police departments — including the police K9s — will be on hand for meet-and-greets with players, families and friends through 2 p.m.
