Whitnall Golfer Earns State Berth by Winning Sectional

The Whitnall senior is the only local representative headed to next week's state tournament.

Whitnall senior Tyler Zientara left no doubt that he was deserving of a spot in next week’s WIAA State Golf Tournament field.

Zientara was crowned champion of the Franklin Sectional on Tuesday, posting a 76 at Oakwood Golf Course, four strokes better than runner-up Matt Bible of Kenosha Tremper.

The top two teams and the top three individuals not on those teams advanced to the state tournament, which is slated for June 6-7 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.
